Golden-winged Warbler
Vermivora chrysoptera
Ah, Warblers. A beautiful group of birds, very diverse...and SO darn difficult to photograph! The majority are only migrants through South Dakota, with numbers quite variable from year to year. Many also tend to frequent the mid- to high-portions of the forest canopy, making them very difficult to photograph. A frustrating group for me!
