American Crow Photos
My Favorite: Hmmmm...a pretty
common bird, one that I don't think twice about seeing, ANYWHERE I travel in
South Dakota. And yet below, how many photos of an American Crow do I have?
Zero!! Crows are smart...and they know human beings are generally not to be
trusted. In South Dakota, they are a bird that's easily seen, but a bird that's
difficult to approach to get within camera range. However, in other parts of the
country, I've found them much easier to approach, particularly those that live
in and around National Parks and other protected lands.
My favorite photo of the species is the one below of an American Crow
perched on a rock, at Ecola State Park in Oregon (near Cannon Beach, a gem
of a park).
