It's not every day you get a chance to photograph one of the rarest species in the world! I've been to the Grand Canyon area a few times in the last 20 years, a location where you can sometimes find California Condors, but no luck. On a 2023 April trip to Arizona I stopped at the Navajo Bridge area in northern Arizona, a location where several often hang out, and was rewarded by at least 5 different birds in the photos below. Easy to tell when (most) are tagged! Incredible, prehistoric looking monsters when you're close...was very grateful for the opportunity to see them.
