Broad-tailed Hummingbird

This photo of a Broad-tailed Hummingbird was taken on April 20th, 2014 on Mount Lemmon, near Tucson, Arizona.   Compared to photo #1, it's a good example of how just a slight turn of the head can make the difference between a brilliantly colored gorget, and a dull one like this photo.  Taken with Canon 70D, 400 5.6L.

Broad-tailed Hummingbird - Selasphorus platycercus
