Tree Swallow Photo

This photo was taken on April 2nd, 2004 at the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.  This was the first day I got my new digital SLR and lens, and I took it for a spin on a cold morning at the Outdoor Campus.  I was surprised to see the Tree Swallows back in the nest boxes near the river.  I was even MORE surprised that I was able to get such great flight shots of these guys!   It took about 2 hours to take 60+ shots, of which about 4 were keepers.  I couldn't have been more thrilled with those keepers though.  Taken with Canon 300D, 70-200 4.0L lens.
