Swainson's Hawk Photo

This photo of an intermediate (rufous) morph Swainson's Hawk was taken on April 17th, 2006 in Minnehaha County.   A great reason why I usually have my camera with me.  This was taken on the way to work one morning.  This is the only rufous-colored Swainson's that I've seen, and it was definitely nice to have a cooperative bird, and a camera on hand!!  Taken on Canon 20D, 400 5.6L lens.
