Lapland Longspur Photo

This photo of a pair of Lapland Longspurs was taken on December 2nd, 2005 near Corson, South Dakota.  This is how you often see them in the state...foraging along the side of a road after a snowstorm.  They're definitely more difficult to find and get close to when snow isn't covering the landscape.  Photo taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
