This photo was taken on May 2nd, 2003, at a wetland in western Minnehaha County. I think this is the shot that made me realize the power of digiscoping. This wetland is right by the side of the road, by as I approached, he flew to the other side. I was about to give up and move on, but figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this very long shot turned out...it's now one of my favorite photographs. Taken by digiscoping, with Swarovski AT80 HD scope and Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
