Bald Eagle Photos
It's amazing how often you see these guys, if you're just keep your eyes open for them. In the Sioux Falls/Brandon area, they are often hanging around the Big Sioux River (and there is an active nest in the region). I see them along the Big Sioux River near Newton Hills State Park quite a bit, I've seen them at the Palisades State Park near Garretson, I've seen one sitting in a cottonwood outside my office window at the EROS Data Center, I've seen numbers of them on the prairie around Presho, I've seen them on the Fort Pierre National Grasslands, and of course, I've seen them below the Missouri River dams. Whew!! Heck...there have even been 3-4 occasions where I've seen them flying over the neighborhood from my back deck in Brandon!!! You never know when one might pop up, especially during the winter months.
